ATHENA FITTING ADVISE

We have fitted this flooring in both the methods shown below

 INSTALLATION; Glued as a floating floor. Suitable for underfloor heating if based on an embeded (screed) system must be fully bonded with a flexi wood adhesive or floated using Tuplex Underlay or Heatflow Underlay.

1. glued it directly to the subfloor
   
   
2. Floated it on an underlay for both timber and concrete subfloors (floating means that you would apply a bead of wood glue to the top side of the groove to every board so as you knock it into position any excess glue will run into the groove and not ooze out all over the face of the finished floor)

• Overall appearance of a character style floor
• Sound closed knots allowed
• Pin knots allowed
• Small to medium open knots allowed
  (if pre finished, knots can be filled or unfilled depending on order specification, very small knots on a filled specification may not always be filled)
