DESCRIPTION

Emerald 6392 Buckskin Lacquered Oak has an overall appearance is of a character floor.  It has all the beauties of the natural growth and life of the Oak which is incorporated into this floor. The variable grain directions, knurls and colours characterise the Oak, and will make the floor look unique, making it look like a ‘real’ solid wooden floor. The Buckskin coloured Oak has been stained to make the oak darker, making it an ideal way to warm a room The ideal element of this flooring is the set length boards present in each pack making the colours and quality of the Oak stand-out in any room, making you feel as if you are ‘Walking in a work of Art’.. This product is one which we have fitted for many clients and it's a great quality product which makes any room stand out with quality.

ATHENA FITTING ADVISE

We have fitted this flooring in both the methods shown below

 INSTALLATION; Glued as a floating floor or nailed. Suitable for underfloor heating if based on an embeded (screed) system must be fully bonded with a flexi wood adhesive.

1. Secretly nailed to both joists and over existing floorboard (secret nailing is where you hammer a nail just above the tongue at an angle of approx. 45*, punch the nail head just under the surface using a nail punch and when the next boards groove is laid and knocked over the tongue it covers and hides the nail heads)
   
   
2. glued it directly to the subfloor
   
   
3. Floated it on an underlay for both timber and concrete subfloors (floating means that you would apply a bead of wood glue to the top side of the groove to every board so as you knock it into position any excess glue will run into the groove and not ooze out all over the face of the finished floor)
